GALVESTON COUNTY FREE Household Hazardous Waste & Electronic Waste Event

Galveston County is hosting a FREE contactless household hazardous waste and electronic waste event on March 13th, 2021.

Household Hazardous Waste Event
Date: Saturday, March 13th, 2021
Time: 10am to 4pm (or once capacity is met)
Location: Galveston County Fairgrounds, 10 Jack Brooks Road, Hitchcock, Texas

Household Hazardous Waste ACCEPTED:
–      Oil Based Paints
–      Solvents
–      Cleaning products
–      Light Bulbs
–      Mercury
–      Oil Filters
–      Batteries and Auto Batteries
–      Antifreeze
–      Pesticides and Herbicides
–      Pool Chemicals
–      Passenger Vehicle Tires (up to 8 per car)
–      Gasoline and Diesel

Household Hazard Waste NOT ACCEPTED:
–      Explosives
–      Ammunition
–      Radioactive Materials
–      Dioxins
–      Agricultural Chemicals
–      Medical Waste
–      Pharmaceutical Items
–      Smoke Alarms
–      Propane Tanks
–      Household Trash
–      Furniture
–      Kitchen Waste

E-Waste ACCEPTED
–      Computers/Laptops
–      Computer Accessories
–      Power Cords/Cables
–      Cellular Phones
–      VCR/DVD Players

–      TVs (up to 55”)

The Galveston County Food Bank will also be onsite conducting a contactless canned food drive to help families in need across our county.
