UNINCORPORATED GALVESTON COUNTY – Storm Debris Clean-Up

September 15, 2021

Starting Monday (9/20), crews from Galveston County Road & Bridge will pick up storm-related VEGETATIVE debris from curbside.

Please note the following requirements:

  • Only residents of unincorporated areas of Galveston County are eligible for this service.
  • All other areas must contact their cities for assistance.
  • Only VEGETATIVE related debris will be picked up (i.e. fallen or up rooted trees, broken or hanging limbs directly damaged by storm winds).
  • No plastic bags
  • Place debris between the ditches and road. DO NOT block mailboxes or fire hydrants
  • This effort will continue for 2 weeks. Ending on October 1st.
  • Household “C&D”, white goods, and E-waste will not be picked up.

If you have COVID-19 related financial challenges that are impacting your ability to make rent payments, contact the Galveston County Long Term Recovery Group today. Financial assistance may be available, including:
  • Rental Assistance
  • Utility Assistance
  • Assistance with Other Housing Related Expenses
This program is funded through Galveston County using the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and is being administered by the Galveston County Long Term Recovery Group.

BACLIFF Water Distribution Continues

The water distribution site at the Bayside Community Center was resupplied last night and will begin handing out water at 9:00am today.

Nearly 13,000 cases of water have been distributed by the county to the different cities and communities in the last three days.

The Bayside Community Center has been established as a bottled water distribution hub for Bacliff and San Leon Residents. If you are in the Bayshore area, you can go to the community center and pick up potable water.
