The NWS has issued a Hard Freeze Warning and Wind Chill Warning for Galveston County and the surrounding region. Dangerously cold temperatures are expected starting later today and lasting through Tuesday morning.

Gusty northwest winds are forecast in the wake of Thursday’s cold front. Wind gusts look to peak around 30 mph west of Houston, and in the 35-40 mph range around and east of the city. A wind advisory is in place for all counties beginning this morning.
