Judge Mark Henry, in coordination with the Local Health Authority, Dr. Philip Keiser, and the Mayors of Galveston County, issued an Order to Stay at Home effective at 11:59 PM, March 24, 2020. All thirteen Mayors agreed to sign the order and as of 7:25 PM, March 23, 2020. As of Monday evening, all but two Mayors, who have not yet had an opportunity to add their signature, have signed the orders.

Governor Greg Abbott today a series of Executive Orders relating to COVID-19 preparedness and mitigation. The four orders serve to limit public gatherings and help reduce exposure for people across the state.
