Stay at Home Order Filed

Judge Mark Henry, in coordination with the Local Health Authority, Dr. Philip Keiser, and the Mayors of Galveston County, issued an Order to Stay at Home effective at 11:59 PM, March 24, 2020.  All thirteen Mayors agreed to sign the order and as of  7:25 PM, March 23, 2020.   As of Monday evening, all but two Mayors, who have not yet had an opportunity to add their signature, have signed the orders.

Governor Greg Abbott today a series of Executive Orders relating to COVID-19 preparedness and mitigation. The four orders serve to limit public gatherings and help reduce exposure for people across the state. These orders are in accordance with federal guidelines issued by the President and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and will aid in the state’s efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19.
