Walter Hall Park Closed For Next 30 Days

Walter Hall Park in League City has been closed to the public, starting today, for the next 60 to 90 days as the County prepares the park to become a potential mass COVID-19 vaccination site.

CITY OF GALVESTON FREE COVID-19 Testing January 15

January 13, 2021

The City of Galveston will serve as a free drive-thru COVID-19 testing site on Friday, January 15. The state will provide free testing at Fire Station 1, 823 26th Street, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Remember The 3 W’s When Out In Public

We all need to work together to do our part to slow the spread of #coronavirus. We’ve done it before and we can do it again.

😷 Wear a face covering in public spaces

↔️ Watch your distance and stay at least 6 feet from other people

🖐 Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds

And, if you’re feeling sick or know you’ve been exposed to COVID-19, get tested.

New State Plan For COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution

January 11, 2021

This plan will significantly prioritize urban areas over suburban and rural communities. For example, the state’s current plan provides Harris County an allotment of approximately one dose per 165 residents and Galveston County one dose per 855 residents.
