Walter Hall Park in League City has been closed to the public, starting today, for the next 60 to 90 days as the County prepares the park to become a potential mass COVID-19 vaccination site.
Gusty northwest winds are forecast in the wake of Thursday’s cold front. Wind gusts look to peak around 30 mph west of Houston, and in the 35-40 mph range around and east of the city. A wind advisory is in place for all counties beginning this morning.
The City of Galveston will serve as a free drive-thru COVID-19 testing site on Friday, January 15. The state will provide free testing at Fire Station 1, 823 26th Street, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
