The National Weather Service’s forecast indicates a high likelihood that the remnants of Tropical Storm Harvey will reform into a tropical storm or hurricane as it transitions from the Yucatan back to the Gulf of Mexico. The latest weather model indicates that the storm will make landfall between Corpus Christi and Matagorda Bay on Friday and then slowly move northeast. We are anticipating heavy rainfall and possible flooding at this time, however the track and intensity of this storm are very uncertain. The National Weather Service’s models will become more clear once the eye of the storm forms. OEM will continue to monitor the weather closely.
